I know what it’s like to start from scratch—because I’ve done it too. CWABC was born from my own experience setting up a small business, so I understand how overwhelming the numbers can feel. That’s why I focus on making your finances simpler, more manageable, and completely jargon-free—so you can get on with running your business, knowing someone has your back.
1993 – 2000 | My Journey Into Finance Began
I started my career in finance at IPC Media, working as a cashier and learning the foundations of payments, reconciliations, and day-to-day financial operations.
2001 – Broadening My Experience
I moved into roles with Hempsons and Winckworth Sherwood LLP, gaining experience in purchase ledger, client banking, transfers, reconciliations, and reporting. This gave me a strong grounding in both corporate and client money handling.
2005 – 2016 | Chief Cashier, Prolegal Solicitors
Over ten years I developed my expertise in banking, reconciliations, purchase payments, and audits, supporting the firm’s finance manager and working closely with external auditors.
2016 – Present | Head of Finance, Tinklin Springall Solicitors
Today I’m responsible for the firm’s full financial functions — from budgeting and payroll to VAT, reconciliations, and compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SARs). I also provide training for all staff on the financial systems we use.
2021 – Present | Founder & Licensed Accountant, CWABC
I founded CWABC to provide small businesses, sole traders, and landlords across Kent with clear, flexible, and jargon-free bookkeeping and accounting services. My goal is to take the stress out of finance so clients can focus on running and growing their business.
